Well they will certainly need deep pockets. Would Bentley want to play league 1 football? Too early in the season to say for sure they will go up.

If he has a brain yes, he should want to progress up the leagues step by step. Too many young players jump straight to the Prem and end up no marks and thats the problem with the national team.

They've got plenty of money for a League 1 side and a seven figure move wouldn't be that surprising for them, I can't see them being in League 1 again next season either, they're tearing most teams apart in that league and their keeper is their weak link.

Give us 500k up front with add ons and he can go to Carlisle for all I care, we need the money to get out of this league very quick, and we have a adequate replacement:thumbsup:

This would be quite a good move for Bentley as he'd probably be playing championship football this time next year. However he'd have to oust their current number 1 which is by no means guaranteed - Bentley needs to raise his game if he thinks he can play at a significantly higher level.

Bristol City have been named, but there are loads of clubs watching him from Division one to the Premiership. He will go to the highest bidder. I doubt that will be Bristol City.

bentley being tracked by Bristol City

I can see him going (who would blame him) but lets hope he sees the season out, then who knows

Bristol City is just the sort of club that our Dan should look to move to. He should get first team games there rather than warm the bench at a Championship or Premiership club, and City are likely to be in the Championship themselves next season.

I sort of agree but I want him to sign for the club that gives the most money in transfer fees. When he is gone all that will be left is the money, so as much as possible please,. And if it comes from a Prem or Championship club I, for one, won't complain.

There's a bit of movement on Twitter & faceache that Orient are about to table a bid. Can't see it happening myself.

Southend have rejected a bid of £500,000 for Bentley from Brentford. Apparently they want closer to £1million.
