Bristol City FC part with Tinnion

The Watermill Wino

Coach Guru⭐🦐
After an indifferent start to the season including yesterdays 7-1 reverse against Swansea, Brian Tinnion after a long meeting with the Ashton gate chairman has decided to stand down.
Keith Millen has been placed in charge of first team affairs and his first game incharge is at Ashton gate v Blackpool.

Is this the start of the merry go round and who would be in the frame?

It's a cracking job opportunity to be fair.

They've had a terrible start to the season and any City fans still talking about running away with the title are deluded. In that respect, you would have little to lose.

I wonder if Gary Johnsons name will be thrown into the hat.

IMHO they were quick to sack Danny Wilson after losing in the playoffs a couple of years ago. They've gone backwards under Tinnion.

Gary Johnson will get mentioned for every vacancy down that way, he was touted as a strong candidate for the Plymouth job on Saturday before the Sky game at Norwich.

No doubt somebody will also put Tilly's name into the frame at some point but I'd still like to think that's not a big enough job to tempt him away.

Rob Newman? You know it makes sense...

Not surprised about this! They made a bit of a mistake sacking Wilson so hastily I reckon.

I'd like to think they'll give that fountain of all football knowledge Ronnie Whelan a try, if at least so he's not on Sky when we play Forest

They better employ someone else for that game, not that I'll be watching 'cos I'll be at the Hall

He's a sh*t pundit though.

you know he will be there, but who cares i don't listen to him anymore, i will be at the hall so won't have to listen to him

They are rumoured to be interested in ex Dundee Utd & Falkirk manager & big-mouthed (Scottish) TV pundit Ian McCall.

Poor old City fans!

What about Bobby Williamson, the ex-Plymouth manager? Could be in the frame, along with Gary Johnson.
