Brianstorm

Ron Manager

formerly Libertine
They've only gone and done it again. Those Arctic Monkeys boys just make me feel 21 again. For a short while listening to their music they make me forget mortgage payments, work deadlines, targets and general adult crap.

They are on their way to being the nearest thing we've ever had to The Jam since they broke up - extremely high praise indeed.

Love the band, this new song is a little different from there last album, but i think Brianstorm will go to number one.

I really wanted tickets to see them in London but missed out.

On the brightside i booked ticket for O2 wireless Festival for the Sunday with Kaiser cheifs headlining with The Cribs and the twang playing. CAN'T WAIT FOR IT !!!

Reading FHM today, they reviewed Favourite Worst Nightmare and said its every bit as good as their debut... Also extremely high praise for the Drummer, who they say is "Godly" on this album.

I'm not putting them in the same category as The Jam after just an album and a few singles. However as a passionate Jam fan I can see some similarity in style and attitude.

Why what about 'From the Jam' Sound pretty similar to The Jam' to me.
I think the Arctic monkeys are one of a view new bans around that has any chance of staying around.

Trouble is the record companies don't give the bands a chance these days. In todays climate, The Jam would have been dropped after their second album and the world would be a MUCH sadder place.

Far too much pressure on young bands today.
