Not sure if they will be happy with that or not, I mean he never really achieved anything at Coventry or Sunderland (in fact I remember how badly Sunderland played under him at the Hall in 1992).

If Greg Dyke bankrolls them I wonder if he'll go for Foran as he managed him at Motherwell? :p

Bit of a surprise that one. He turned Motherwell in to a tidy enough SPL side, but his previous jobs in England have indeed been pretty terrible.

Bad news for a mate of mine who looks a bit like Butcher. He spends a lot of time in Glasgow and on a couple of occasions was asked if he was indeed Butcher. Now both men are going to be based in West London or thereabouts, this is only going to get worse. Especially as Hugh is a Celtic fan.

Staying on the Celtic theme, do you think Butcher will be keen to know about the big Celtic pub (The New Inn) next to Griffin Park? Sure he'll receive a warm welcome there.

Look out for a big dark blue Range Rover Vogue something like "979TB" reg plate, it will be big Tel, he used to go to the same Chinese take-away as me!
