On the bbc website was injured by a sting ray and suffered to bad a injury to save him.

By the way I was joking about the fact that this news has been all over the place all morning Steve Irwin and not his death itself. I'm gutted to be honest, I thought he was brilliant and the type of "real" character you just don't see any more. Rest in peace Steve.....
