Breaking news - update

Mega Rich poker player Tony Bloom has sensationally lost Brighton and Hove Albion within 24 hours of taking control.

The incident happened during a poker match on the internet. Bloom and his opponent (known only as Chuck but who is believed to be a 19 year old computer geek from Eastbourne) were the last 2 players in a no limit game and Bloom foolishly went all in with 2 pairs. In an attempt to psyche Chuck out of the game, he included Albion in his stake. Bloom had used computer wizardry to manifest millions of pounds worth of false currency and matched the call by throwing £5million into the pot. When the cards were shown, Chuck had a full house.

Despite the deception, Chuck has no intention of giving up the club. "I'm not really a football fan as I'm more into computers" he said, "so my intention is just to let the club stagnate. I'm told they have a couple of decent players that I could sell and the funds will help me develop my IT hardware. It's my aim to run a company to rival Microsoft. I can't believe my luck with the cards really as it was my first ever poker hand and it was only my IT skills that enabled me to stay in so long. This new stadium site that Brighton have is just the right size for my corporate development and by the time Albion are down in the Conference South they won't need somewhere very big. My mates Dad own's Lewes and has indicated that they Brighton could ground share with them."

Bloom was last seen stripping off on Brighton beach and walking into the sea. He was unavailable for comment.

Makes you wonder why the biggest club on the south coast would be trolling this board really, doesn't it? Until, that is, you remember that Crystal Palace (the club who they like to think of themselves as 'rivals' to) have been defecating all over them from a great height for 25 years now. I suppose it's a bit like Col Ewe's entirely selective awareness of Ipswich Town - and every bit as amusing.
