Bournemouth in the premier league

Fair play to AFC Bournemouth.

How are they going to cope with premier league football with a stadium roughly the same size as roots hall?

Its how much money you have, not the size of your stadium, and they have backing.

Even so, Im sure they will come down next season.

Irrespective of the fact that they've been bankrolled, it's great for their fans who have been through some really dark times.

Eddie Howe has done a great job too, very much done a 'Steve Tilson' style job down there.

Surely they will need to ground share or add another 5000 seats.

12000 won't cut it in the premier league.

Gives hope to every single league side.

They played some great stuff tonight, as they have all season. Happy for Simon Francis, always rated him when he was here, will be interesting to see if they stick with what they've got and only a few additions or if they invest big over the summer.

Having a distinctly "little league" ground may be their main strength next season. They will sell out every game to home fans and ought to have a cracking atmosphere. If the away dressing room is a dirt pit then that will be good too.
They are, literally, living the dream.

I bet it's cheered up the Portsmouth fans to see Bournemouth go up and Southampton doing well!

I wonder how many season tickets they will sell for next season ? Won't be many left for the other supporters eh, and you think we have problems for certain games:'(

Is it mandatory to have allow away supporters? Otherwise....er...12,000!

They only just avoided breaking the FFP rules. A club that small dealing with losses of £15 million in a season?

Bankrolled or not. That's never going to end well.

I really don't know the inner workings of FFP too well but even with a Russian Benefector is it right they won't be able to spend too much with only 10k crowds supporting the club....or does the large wadge of TV money count as a big entry in the profit column? Confused. I read that them signing that guy from Coventry for £3m pushed them very close to edge of FFP.

Still, a fantastic achievement from almost dropping out of L2 a few years ago. I've always had a soft spot for Bournemouth as a place and always looked out for their results, added interest was Flavs, Bradbury, Francis and Barrett playing there over the last few years. I just hope they stick with Eddie Howe through thick and thin next season and don't get tempted to get 'Arry involved.

It is a different FFP ruling now for them though. The Football League have FFP in place but it is seperate to the one in the Premier League which is put in place by UEFA. Unless Bournemouth get into Europe I don't think they need to worry about having any spending capped.

Of course if they go down and have high earners on the books then that will cause problems as it has with QPR.

Bournemouth wouldn't worry too much as they going to get £150 million in TV, that will wipe their debts out in one go!
