Books / Autobiographys

The General

The Mouse (*)
Going away next Sunday and need a book or 3 as me and Em plan to do very little bar lay in the sun, eat and drink.

Probably more interested in Bio's than Books - mainly of sportsmen/woman with interesting stories or perhaps you could recommend something out the blue which you like?!

Or someone can give me their kindle and that'll save me going on Amazon :winking:

Cheers

Kev

Bear Grylls - Facing Up - about him climbing Everest is a great read. Can bring it round on Saturday if you want?

Chris Evans.
Paul Merson - How not to be a professional footballer is quite an eye opener. When Graham Taylor joined Villa he called Merson in for a meeting which went "How much money do you want to leave the Club"

George Best's autobiography isn't bad. I'm an autobio freak. Lost count of how many I have from all walks of life.

ORM's "Should have retired years ago" is out soon.

Just finished reading Sealing Their Fate: The Twenty-Two Days That Decided World War Two by David Downing. An eye-opener, which reads more like a thriller. Seriously good book which completely changed my understanding of WWII

As the Japanese fleet prepared to sail from Japan to Pearl Harbor, the German army was launching its final desperate assault on Moscow, while the British were planning a decisive blow against Rommel in North Africa.

In just three weeks, from November 17 to December 8, the course of World War II was decided and the fate of Germany and Japan was sealed. With new insight and a fresh perspective, David Downing tells the story of these crucial days, shifting the riveting narrative from snowbound Russian villages to the stormy northern Pacific, from the North African desert to Europes warring capitals, and from Tokyo to Washington.

Merson one has to be interesting ... Cant stand Savage so will pass on that one. Any good cricketing ones out there?!

Not really into History/War tbh!
