Blues look to move on seven players

Not been the biggest fan of the current regime but taking this season in isolation I must appluad them for the side we have put together on paper. Dont think I have ever seen a season where we have gone for it so much in the window.

Hopefully a few of the duffer will get moved on soon and then we might have room for a loanee or two.

1. PATERSON
2. PHILLIPS
3. JAMES-LEWIS
4. STURROCK
5. GILBERT
6. CRAWFORD
7. WOODYARD

& possibly return N'DIAYE unless he gets proper stuck in

Can't see Phillips being shipped out, like many I think we can view him as a "new" signing in view of his missing last season. Ok I've not see any friendlies and I've not seen N'Daiye but I'm baffled over the calls to send him back to Palace before he's started a League game for us.

Besides which if one of Grant or Ferdinand is sold he will be needed.

I can't see leonard being sent out on loan, his done very well pre-season, plus as Sturrock stated he will push Clohessy for RB position. Also Phillips, i can see staying and continuing to push for the other CB spot alongside Barker

Paterson
Crawford
Sturrock (wasn't he signed for only another month or two?)
Merrick
Woodyard
Stevens
Nesbitt

Maybe keeping a couple of the younger players and then selling Grant or Ferdiand if the offer is good enough.

Pato (Perm or loan League 2)
James-Lewis (Loan Blue Sq Prem)
Woodyard (Loan Blue Sq/Ryman)
Stevens (Loan Blue Sq/Ryman)
Nesbitt (Loan Blue Sq/Ryman)
Crawford (Loan Blue Sq Prem)
Smith (Loan Blue Sq/Ryman)

If they didn't make the bench last night (other than the injured trio of strikers) then I think they'll go.

1. Paterson (Transfer, Loan until Jan. or contract terminated by mutual consent)
2. Crawford (Long loan, or free transfer)
3. Nesbitt (BSP/BSS loan - Braintree or Chelmsford)
4. MJL (BSP Loan - Braintree perhaps?)
5. Stevens (BSP/BSS loan)
6. Woodyard (BSP/BSS loan)
7. Asante (loan - but not until 2 out of Corr, Dickinson and Blair are fit)

Four on loan (Merrick, Woodyard, Nesbitt and Stevens) and one transferred (Patterson) would do. Our lack of depth has really hurt us in the past. Given that we know at least three of our list is injury prone and the inevitability of other injuries, IMO 24/25 is conservative and should tide us over nicely.

We've signed six and let six leave this summer, so it's hardly that the squad has ballooned. It's just that certain youths are now classed more as pros. Therefore, other than Pato, I expect said young pros to be sent out on loan. I can't see us getting rid of 7 players permanently and certainly not experienced players!

Morris
Mohsni
Grant
Ferdinand
Hall
Corr
Harris

Need to get rid of this lot urgently. We're starting to look like a good team and I miss the daily 74 page diatribe of hate directed at the board these days.

What surprises me is this line, “Financially it’s not an issue as we are still around the playing budget that I committed to but we know the squad is too big,” so even with a squad of 29 we aren't over budget, not bad at all is it, considering with the players we have signed and already have!?

PHP:
Its says "at least" 7, so I expect it to be closer to 8 or 9 on their way out.

Which would start eating into the first team squad... Hall? Grant? Kane? Mohsni?

Too be fair, PS always said (even start of last season) he ideally wants to work with a squad of 22 and Brady said 20-22 today, so its going to be around the 7 mark, cant see it being many more unless we get a good offer for someone.
