Blues Fans - where are you?

Only 300 tickets sold for the Col U beamback, absolutely pathetic. For only £10 fans can watch the game instead of tuning in to Radio Essex, sitting at home or in the pub watching sky gillete soccer saturday. O.K not all fans live local but the majority do and if we'd been playing at home saturday then they would all be there. The games just as important as last seasons, albeit for different reasons so why the big thumbs down?. I'm not a sth but was able to buy tickets because only 900 of our allocation were brought by them. Yes i know its a crap ground, zero facilities, murder to park, half a days walk from the station, and once visited is enough for some fans but taking into account the numbers we've taken away this season i find the lack of interest for this game strange. For the record it will be my 12th visit to their dump since 1969.

You have a good point mate.

I have to admit I havent bothered getting my beamback ticket yet and I am unsure whether to bother with only 300 sold so far and it would appear to be a waste of time. I assume the club are looking for another 1000 on top of that?

I feel our current league form and Col U's impressive run has discouraged people from attending this event.

I have a positive feeling that this game is OUR catalyst and we are going to do the scum over, we are due a good run and this game against Col U will be the beginning of it. Losing to Col U isnt an option, it will really kill the teams confidence if we do lose.

Up the blues!

Yeah I got feeling we are gonna do them aswell! 5 games over the last two years unbetean against them, we just seem to have the measure of them.

I can't wait I couldn't go the last couple of times we've played there so I'm really up for it!

UP THE SHRIMPERS!!

I too am amazed at the apathy shown by many of our supporters concerning the beam back from Col Ewe.
This game hasn't exactly been hyped up by the club, which probably hasn't helped.
I feel the club should have bitten the bullet on this one and said straight from the off, weeks ago in fact, that the club would be doing a beam back of the game to accommodate all those that couldn't get a ticket. I'm sure that if they had done this and also hyped it up over the past few weeks there would have been far more than the 500 or so who have currently committed themselves to getting to The Hall on match day.
Incidentally, how much is it going to cost the club to reimburse all those who have bought tickets for the beam back? How do they reimburse cash payments made for tickets? Visa/credit card payments for tickets will cost the club money to have put back into their respective accounts, although I expect the club to hang on to those payments for as long as possible and collect interest to cover any costs.

I'm not amazed at the apathy: we are the club who took only 5,000 to the play-off final.

Well i was going to get my tickets when i went down wednesday or thursday to pick up the spurs tickets

Surely they would of sold a lot more wednesday, thursday and Friday and a lot of people would of probably just turned up on Saturday (if allowed) depending on the weather!

I think we would have made over the 1300 people needed!

I thought it was about 6,500?

Im not entirely surprised about the lack of interest in the Col Ewe game compared to last season.

Yes but it was only a few weeks after we took 15000 to the same place, which is not just round the corner you know, and the tickets prices were extortionate.

You've got to remember not everybody is made of money. We've had to shell out £30 a ticket for Man Utd, plus the Spurs game is coming up as well as league games and Christmas........the money runs out very quickly and you have to draw a line somewhere.

Plus, we know we're going to beat them anyway, we always do !

P.S.I am going but i'm not sure which body part i'm going to have to sell yet to pay for it all.

im not around, would have gone if i was but to be honest a tenner to watch it on tv is quite a lot, i quite enjoy listening to the radio when i cant make a game

I rang up this mornign to get three tickets and was told that the chances were that it was going to be cancelled. I was surprised and disappointed that we've not been able to sell many tickets, even if I think we'd have got over a thousand there had we sold throughout the week.

Put most other league 2 clubs in our position at the time and the number of fans taken by them to the Play off game would have been similar. (some would probably have taken less).

Just glad I went to all 3 as we know what the best one was.

tenner to watch the beamback, tenner for petrol from kent, money on refreshments and so on, in an atmosphere which won't be the best.

or, watch sky sports news, knowing that we'll scrape a 0-0,
