TBV in the West or North

Agreed. I missed my “Blues Burger”. At least, they should figure out a way we can access it.
Yes. My granddaughter had to endure a greatly inferior hot dog on Saturday for roughly the same price as Eat Street.

If they need a barrier to hold back marauding North Bank/West Stand hordes, rather than closing those big gates, why not have some sort of diagonal arrangement that means the West-standers can at least access the end of the caravan/wagon and be served from there. Not ideal, but at least both stands could then access it for the last few games. If public order is of such a concern, place a security person on either side of the barrier; they were there on Saturday anyway.

Next season, get another outlet behind the West or let them take over the facilities in the West. If this is how it will be for the rest of the season, then the Eat Street people must face losing a great deal of potential revenue and will probably then continue to do so for the last few games, which I doubt will please them.

I don't think the problem is west stand accessing the food van, it's more that there is then nothing stopping them entering the north Bank seats (and probably vice versa). So they'd need more stewards to check tickets on people entering the seating areas - that would also likely lead to significant queues and be unsatisfactory.

I'd also imagine the food van has a capacity in terms of numbers it can cope with, I didn't visit the van on sat but others around me mentioned queues were long - so I guess it's debatable that they're missing out on revenue.

The best answer is to improve the offering in all the other outlets.

The food bar in the west is truly shocking, they even messed my pastry sausage roll up it was stone cold, the place really needs to be better it’s bloody awful.
(A little tip just look at the sauce bottles and the serving bar, have they ever had a cleaning agent on it?)

It wouldn't work having west stand fans coming to use the north bank facilities...... that would cause massive issue interms of over crowding which could result in arguments or even trouble between fans, surely the answer would be to put burger van outside the west. I even think the North Bank could do with extra bar area, it took me 15 odd mins to get drink with the que being long.

It was fine for the Oldham game when it was open for both West and North Stand fans, no trouble or overcrowding.
There wasn't a huge difference in the number of fans at each game.

They could have done with 2 food vans and 2 bars just for the North on Saturday. Plenty of people didn't bother because of the queues. Would be pointless opening to the West at the moment.

Different kick off time which may influence demand at bar/van- and didn't north have an extra couple of hundred fans in for Moors match?

May also depend on what time you're at the van. At the Oldham game I was there quite early, probs an hour before kick off and there were no queues at the van or bar - and the gate to the west was open - but whilst we were supping our beer the gates to the west were shut. By the time we went to our seats at around 30 mins before kick off there was a queue building at the van.

But as I mentioned above the issue probably isn't the van - but more trying to ensure people are sitting in the area that they have a ticket for.

Bottom line is COSU need to upgrade the entrances/exits on the West/NW side somehow. That will remove this frustrating need to monitor flow rates/reduce capacity and enable more seats to be sold and gates open rather than closed.

Doesn't matter if oldham was different. There shouldn't be fans from the west stand coming over using the north bank facilities. Wouldn't be fair on those who in the north bank having to wait extra for food & beverage due west stand fans taking advantage. It was busy enough Saturday without load more fans coming from the west. Just put another burger van behind the west to solve issues with persistent waiting for food/drink orders for fans in that area.

Very true. I had before the game and that was 2:15 and it was getting busy then.

Went out at HT to get one but didn’t bother as the queue was far too long and I wasn’t particularly bothered anyway.

North Bank v West stand food wars. I love it!!

Where’s your burger van?
Where’s your burger van?

Another fantastic afternoon (atmosphere wise) in the North Bank yesterday.
It’s great to see so many youngsters carrying on the singing. They are the future supporters of our club and it’s great that they do so rather than supporting other big clubs.

I really do hope we get the whole of the NB next season. And fingers crossed, with them awful seats ripped out.

Please find somewhere else to put the away fans.

Why would anyone want to eat that stuff anyway. If it’s half good it’s massively overpriced .
Eat something before you leave home or bring your own food. Who would queue for half an hour for a hot dog

And just to let you know, I was a good boy and had a sausage & mushroom baguette on the train so I didn’t spend any of my pocket money on that overpriced and average food.
😁
