Not sure if someone's mentioned this already seeing that I was offline all last week, however this just dropped into my email inbox:

Southend United are delighted to announce the talent show of the season – Blues Idol. We are welcoming any talented Blues fans to enter our exclusive singing competition. If you think you’ve got the talent to impress our panel of judges, please read on…

We shall run a series of auditions here at Roots Hall, and from these auditions we shall choose the best 6 performers. Each act will have the fantastic opportunity of performing right here on the pitch on a matchday. Fans will then have the chance to vote on your performance – rating it out of 10 (10 being highest).

The act with the highest average rating will not only be crowned the winner of ‘Blues Idol’ they will also be invited to sing three songs on the pitch at our final home game of the season. They will also win a private session in a music studio to record their three songs and have them put onto disc (plus a framed memento of the experience).

So if you think you’ve got what it takes to be a star…all you have to do is complete one of our Blues Idol Application Forms

Could give us a laugh in the cold winter saturdays!

What's signing got to do with anything, unless SUFC are trying to cater for the deaf supporters! ;)

I thought this was gonna be a players event for charity, Matt Harrold as Rick Astley, Moussa as Kanye West, Peter Clark and Adam Barratt as Right Said Fred etc..
