Ok, ok, I am having a major grouch; just let me get it off my chest.

Just been made redundant and without telling her indoors I have bought some club shares for the kids - unbelievable luck.

Fork sake - GRRRRRRR!

I'm not going to cancel check, just find a job quick; 'would you like fries & a cke with that' arghhhhhh!

No matter, Milwall losing tonight might break a smirk, frigging sheeeeeshhhhhhh........................

Still better write to the CSA I guess!?!

Greaaatttttt..............

that sucks, and i really feel for you mate.

to be honest cancelling the cheque is my advice, there will be future share issues and it's money that you're likely not to see a return, or even back

I've been made redundant twice in the last 18 months... Its sh*te!!

Good luck finding something quick!!

Was made redundant two years ago and the immediate feeling of '**** I have financial obligations to pay but no form of income' is terrifying. I spent a week or so in shock. It is a very strange sensation getting up at 9am on a Wednesday with no real purpose for the day. I just tried to keep busy, like go shopping or swimming.

My situation was completely different to you with no wife or siblings, I took myself off to Australia for a month and travelled from Melbourne to Alice Springs (to see Ularu and all the other sights) upto Cairns and then down the East Coast back to Melbourne. I managed to spend all my redundancy money to the point where I was completely skint. On my return to blighty I needed to sign on and deal with the local authorities regarding housing and council tax benefit (dont get me started on those clowns, ****s the lot of em). At the time I was living in Surrey so decided to move back home to sunny Essex and found a job immediately.

So why have I told you all this, from my perspective apart from the money aspect it gave me an opportunity to assess my life and make decisions of where I wanted to be (both geographically and career wise). Had the redundancy not happened chances are I'd still be living 100 miles away from friends and family and working in the ****ehole that is Basingstoke (as it is I work in the ****ehole that is Basildon) but my life has improved dramatically for the better since being made redundant.

Take positives from it if you can!

chin up fella chin up...

at least you don't live in Uganda!
Haha, or as the Kaiser chiefs put it, at least you're not a nurse.

Hard luck Dash, but honesty is the centre of a long lasting relationship, secrets don't help in the long run whatsoever.

Hello Scott!!

Generally I dont but not too many moaning minnies on here this week SO FAR!! Wonder if thats cos we won Saturday???!!!

Well we lost last night Mrs P so time to leave us for a while! :p

Then again I see you and the other half living it up in the directors area the other game, you sold us out mrs p :( ;)

I walked out on my last PT job at October half term after the manager decided to treat us all like 6 year olds, and I stood up to her on everyone else's behalf, telling her EXACTLY what I thought, and successfully found a better and more well paid job just four weeks later. Karma, my friend, something better is often around the corner, even if it may be a little way down the road first.
