The first pre-season friendly is today, after Canvey away was postponed and Billericay away was cancelled.

All contracted players will be available for selection, apart from Louis Lomas and Dan Mooney, both who have sustained injuries in pre-season.

The opposition today, Bishop's Stortford, has oddly been placed into the National League North for the next season, despite being close to London.

I’ll be at game and looking forward to seeing who gets minutes in this game, I don’t expect a lot to come from Southend as fitness is key without additional injuries plus the fact stortford have already had 3 friendlies I think.

I was torn between here and the protest but ultimately wanted to show my appreciation for those who stuck with us. I can’t imagine how low morale is at the moment so it would be nice to show our support for Kev and the players.
