So the next time one of our players kicks out at one of the oppo, it will be rescinded. Happy days :winking:

Surely there has to be clear evidence that the referee made a mistake, which is effectively saying he didn't kick out at an opponent. The assistant was right in front of the incident.

Feel a bit sorry for the referee, here.

They were lucky to get away with that I think, but who cares, we've played them twice now this season and given a damn good hiding at Roots Hall. In time I'll remember the game and the score, not the sending off.

Don't get me wrong I'm over the moon at our performance and the result. It's more just pointing out a terrible display from the officials has been made worse by this red card being rescinded! Brown should keep the footage of the incident and when it happens to us which it will no doubt, then he can slam that in their faces.

That was Bishop's 7th red card of his career, so he's hardly Mr Unlucky!

You're right, but I'm still in v happy mode after that 90+ minutes and therefore a bit more laid back about it than I would have been if we had lost (unthinkable).

He kicked out for no reason after the ball had gone. Similar to beckham in '98. I'm not a ref so don't know if the laws have changed since then.

Absolutely staggering. I was fully expecting an extra game ban for a frivolous appeal.

I think he got more decisions wrong than right, especially in that second half but it was a clear red card

He gives Demetriou a hefty tap with his left foot long after the ball had gone and the ref who was close by was in no doubt what happened. Perhaps Jason should have gone down writhing in agony. The guy is married to The Apprentice candidate Frances Bishop -maybe the FA thought that that is enough punishment. Rescinding the red is a complete farce.

Is it just me who thinks these panels have become very relaxed on red cards? See so many get over turned these days and it used to be unheard of

Ive tried but couldn't really see it.
Interesting that first half,facing the sun,it was barely possible to see anything!SHAME on on all those Eaststanders in the foreground-wearing their peaked caps but not throwing them to poor Ted Smith!
