Breaking News Big League Weekend 2: Dougie Freedman

BLUEBLOOD

Moderator of Moderators
I';ve not seen it mentioned elsewhere, but Dougie Freedman is a guest on BLW2 tonight (Sky Sports 1 at 6:30 and repeated a couple of times later into the evening usually)

I imagine he'll just be discussing all the weekend action, but with no CCC fixtures there may be a little feature on SUFC on there

Dougie Freedman came over very well, I was very impressed

They spoke about southend United for about 10 minutes

If you have Sky its a must :-)

Listiening to him talks makes you realise how valuable he is behind the scenes within the squad.

Can see him staying, getting fit and scoring next season. In addition to this I can see him as a 1st XI player but having some involement with the reserves. Maybe a shared role with Ricky Duncan

Too right mate! Can't see why he wouldn't stay, in my opinion he's arguably the most important player in the squad

He was also very nice about us :)

Great bloke, shame how things turned out last year. The scene was set for him to score the winner on his birthday at wembley and send us up, instead he trudged off midway through the second half :'(

Glad he came across well.

It's just a shame I doubt he'll stay here when he hangs his boots up, he'll probably be off to Palace in some role or another.

I wouldn't say that, he may stay here for a while to get some experience on the coaching side of things first and it depends what vacancies come up at Palace. I can see him being to Palace what Tilly is to us though.
