Beth Orton Poster

MK Shrimper

Striker
Found an old poster that seems a shame to chuck in the bin (I remember ripping it off of the Union Chapel wall in Islington :D!)

Beth Orton, Friday 11th April (1996 I reckon).

If anyone wants it, PM me and I'll post it free of charge.

I remember Spending a fantastic afternoon/evening with someone (who is now an ex) during the Summer of 1997 in a park in Surrey listening to Trailer Park by Beth Orton and drinking shedloads of Penfolds Koonunga Hills Chardonnay. On the playlist that day were 'Reading Writing and Arithmetic' by the Sundays and 'Gorecki' by Lamb amongst others.

Yeah that was definately a top day and whenever I hear then name Beth Orton I'm taken back to that idyllic scene. Ahh isnt nostalgia great! Sadly me and the ex weren't meant to be and a year later it was all over.

Christ man get a grip, I think I overdid the Guiness at lunchtime. Look forwards not backwards (think I might pop Trailer Park onto the cd player when I get home for more nostalgia tho :-))

How odd; "Trailer Park", "Reading, Writing & Arithmetic" and the first Lamb album are much treasured albums for me and my Missus due to how much we played them when we first got together in October 1996. "Gorecki" still brings a tear to my eye if I'm in the right mood, sniff....
