Any upgrade on the below?

I've got Edwards at RB and Barrett LB and it's a 4-3-3 formation.,

Cawston (78-83; 84-85)
Prior (89-93; 04-07)
Edwards (89-95; 04-06)
Clark (76-77; 82-91)
Barrett (04-10; 15-17)
McCormack (2005 (loan); 07-10)
Timlin (2010; 11-18)
Kightly (03-05; 17-present)
Eastwood (04-07; 12-14)
McDonough (83-84; 85-90)
Barnard (08-10; 14-15)

Les Stubbs(48-52;58) was always said to be one of our greatest, tho not when he came back(!), so must be worth a place up front.

Striking how many bona fide Southend greats have had a couple of spells at the club. At least three of those would be in my personal all-time XI, with another couple knocking on the door.

Are we talking about the best players whilst playing for us, or in general? If whilst playing for us I'd probably put John White in ahead of Kightly and play an ultra defensive 5-3-2!

your call! hell of a defense, not much creativity!

Wasn't Tilson registered as a player when he came back as manager initially? If so, and if that counts, I'd put him ahead of both Timlin and McCormack at CM

Edit: Yes according to Wiki he played 4 games when he returned

Lee Sawyer (the first time, definitely not the second) would be a decent option from the bench.

I would put Paul Sansome in goal, an absolute legend for 9 years (88-97) then on non contract terms on the bench in 2001/02 season.
