M11 to the A1 or M1 and M18 whats the best way to get there. It seems the A1 is better but the M1 is faster, just a little more out of the way than the A1. What route do you thinks best?
 
I would always opt for the A1. By the time you have got round to Watford to join the M1, even with the M25 behaving, you could be at the end of the M11. With the A1M stretch, the A1 is, I believe as fast as the M1. Watch out for the speed cameras though! I will be travelling up the A1, leaving here at 9.30, with flags flying...hope to see you all en route!
