Any recommendations?

Please no nominations for The Arches. Anyone who pays seven sheets for a fry up is a mug.

Cafe 709 on Southchurch Road (opp Izods)

Top notch grub served by top notch totty last time i was in there :slurp: + :slurp: = :slurp:

Cafe Noir next to the Last Post does a good one, run by an Italian bloke, they do the best fried eggs I've had for years.
And an honourable mention to Raspberry Ripples on Furtherwick Road, Canvey.

Given BLUEBLOOD's recommendation, I'm waiting for an invite mate.

I thought that caff on the A127 outside Rayleigh was the best breakfast in Essex?
The Blinking Owl or another one?

Depends what you want. Debenhams do a very good value cooked breakfast, I think 3 different levels of price according to the size of breakfast you want. Sands on the seafront do a very nice and slightly more upmarket version including beautiful eggs Benedict. Stop the World in Leigh also do a really good upmarket breakfast, although, of course, being Leigh you do pay a premium price.

Agree about the Arches though, expensive and greasy in my experience.

I love the Rumblin Tum cafe at the bottom of Hamlet Court Road --- Cricko doesn't, as the waitress hates him and refuses to serve him.
