Coach⭐🦐
Experienced left back?? Thoughts???

Ipswich boss Roy Keane is ready to let defensive duo Gareth McAuley and Ben Thatcher leave Portman Road.
Keane

is prepared to wield the axe after a dismal start to the season, which sees the club still searching for their first win of the campaign.
McAuley,

who was sent off in Tuesday's 1-1 home draw with Nottingham Forest,

has revealed he has been informed he can leave if another club comes in for him.
"My agent got a call from the chairman who said if a club could be found for me then to go ahead," McAuley told the Daily Mail.
Former Tottenham and Charlton defender Thatcher

has not featured in the first-team this season and Keane has confirmed he is not in contention for selection.
"He's fit, but not in my plans," noted Keane

I'd take him - experienced, hard. Doubt he'll get another Championship club now, wages may be an issue though and Herd has done nothing wrong so don't see an urgent need for a left-back. I'd have McAuley too but can't see that happening.

If Tilly is thinking of either starting a Ultimate Fight Team or running a seedy South London nightclub then I think Thatcher could do a job.

However as a left back rather see Jonny Herd given his chance.

I hate this thug. I'd rather our club not be tainted with people like him. Past his best as well.

My mrs had to tailor his suit for him when she was sorting out ITFC's suits, her words about Ben Thatcher were "who's that ginger (derogatory word for a lady's reproductive organs) who plays for them". I said Ben Thatcher and she said "that's him, I wanted to smack him in the face the smarmy prick".

Classy is my lady.

Was watching the victorious playoff final the other day & I thought how Gareth McAuley would suit us if/when we're in the market for a permanent CB again.

Thatcher - no thanks!!!

I would'nt say no to either in all honesty.....be nice to have numbers and players who have experience. Also, with such a small squad - can we afford to be so fussy??

Herd also started ok last year but is a tough ask for a youngster to come in and play all the time - need to ease Herd in and rest him at times.

Personally, I think we still need a Defender (Left Back or Center Back) and a creative midfielder (preferably a nippy winger).

Please with the O'Donovan deal though. Well done on that one T&B

I would be gutted if we got him, scum simple as, in fact he would become the first ever blues player I would boo

Good thing about our club is that they seemingly don't want to sign players with a bad reputations such as Lee Hughes or this scummer.
