Does anybody know the title of the music played before kick off? Its the music that sounds very much like belly dancer meets turkish nightclub!!!! I really like it, and i doubt anybody else has it. And the club says it doesnt want to take credit cards for season tickets. Does that me that they wont take them or they just would prefer cash?

Not really - It's not Southend United Credit Card Company, it's MBNA i believe who produce similar DESIGNED cards for every other club in the land.

doen't the club take a cut of whatever we spend though? wouldn't it be in the interests of the club therefore to accept at worst the MBNA cards. (CAUTION: they offer you a good deal at first but check because it goes up to a whopping 22% APR, I've transfeered my balancxe and cut the blighter up)

I never pay the full APR on any cards, always transfer the balance around. Good one at the mo is Halifax - 0% on balance transfers and purchases for 9 months.

I think this probably sounds like the problem they had two or three seasons ago when they couldn't take credit cards for season tickets as the credit companies were concerned that the football club wouldn't last the following season and therefore, under the Credit Consumer Act, they would have had to reimburse everyone who used credit cards to buy their season tickets. I would assume that this is along the same lines but suggest that maybe the crediting authorities are handing SUFC a reasonably large supplementary charge for all transactions by credit card just in case the Club doesn't last the season.

Sobering thought : there are financial wizards out there who think we might not last out the next season ...
