Billy Jones would be a magnificent signing - a quality left back who is also a free-kick specialist (infact he got a brilliant winner down here from a set-piece last season IIRC).

Duberry....meh, we do need a centre-half and he's experienced so wouldn't be a bad signing if he's not on mega wages.

I read that this morning and I think both would make excellent signings, but aren't they both playing regularly for their sides?

If so, and this is real, perhaps its a loan with a view of becoming permenant in January.

Anyone know what time the deadline shuts today? Is it 5pm, or midnight?

Tilson has mentioned, or more than one occasion, that he is always on the look out for players that will improve the squad so I guess if these two players are available then he would be interested.

It maybe all cobblers, but it just seemed wierd that the story broke in the Mirror newspaper, which is a national paper, rather than on here or the Echo who both claim to have sources at the Club.

Would be a bit random making up a story about us looking at 2 players in a national paper. Not that many people would actually care about it to be honest.

Billy Jones was born in Gillingham, he wants to move back down South, he has done for a while now, but i take your point on the money thing, if we can't pay wages and bonuses then how can we add players? UTB.

Billy Jones is playing for a team struggling in league 2 and is from north kent so being linked with him is not so stupid me thinks. As for Duberry, according to the Wycombe faithful, they would welcome his move as he's had a stinker this season by all accounts (except when he played against us naturally!)
