BBC 606 Forum on promotional candidates

Just been surfing the BBC site when i can across the 606 forum about promotional candidates for league one next season. Some (not all) posters feel that us (southend) and leeds think that we are going to run away with the league one and do not realise how tough it really is.

"If Forest can stop teams like Leyton Orient, Rotherham and Oldham getting results at the City Ground next year and we can be consistent throughout the year we will get automatic promotion and i hope someone like Oldham or Swansea can get the same because i think that Leeds or Southend will think they can run away with the league, they have no idea how hard League One has become."

"I Think That Luton, Leeds And Southend Will Be Suprised At Whats In League One This Year."

On the other hand some posters feel that we are promotional candidates and actually have a good chance.

"Southend and Luton are two very strong units and both a bit unfortunate to come down last year, Southend on a good day were a match for anyone in the Championship, trouble for them was consistency, Luton who could see them going down last February, the wheels really came off, but both these sides will be real handful."

"Southend another team with solid squad. Yes they have lost their star striker but im sure Tilson will spend wisely and they should def be there or there abouts."

Now i know some shrimpers have been making huge presumptions about the season ahead and other teams may feel that we have been taking the whole league one is easy idea too seriously. Now i dont think in away way will we walk this league, but i do feel that we have a chance of gaining automatic or playoff places.

i don't think we will run away with the league... but our squad is looking good and Tilly is a master of motivation and so i don't expect the drop to be disasterous... i think playoffs are a realistic expectation
