Battrick Week 1

BILLERICAY BLUE

Rose Tinted Brigade Member⭐⭐🦐
Had a bit of a result. I've formualted a 4 year training plan, starting with the 1st YP and using some of my old trainees, but it meant I had a couple of spare nets for this week, chucked them on this guy without knowing what would happen, and came up with this -

Noel Dyer (856260)
RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, proficient batting form, competent bowling form, energetic
An attacking player with woeful leadership skills and abysmal experience.

Plays For: BATTY SHRIMPERS
Nationality: England
Age: 18 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 7,754 (+291)
Wages: £1,148 p/w

Stamina: abysmal Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: respectable Concentration: feeble
Bowling: worthless Consistency: worthless
Fielding: proficient

Also one of my trainees popped as well

Seamus Oconnor (468985)
LH Batsman, LH Spin Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, energetic
A cautious player with strong leadership skills and worthless experience.

Plays For: BATTY SHRIMPERS
Nationality: Australia
Age: 19 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 8,801 (+394)
Wages: £1,967 p/w

Stamina: abysmal Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: abysmal Concentration: abysmal
Bowling: strong Consistency: competent
Fielding: feeble

Got nothing this week, cant say I'm surprised though. Is it actually possible for primaries to pop today? As if a player was one week away from popping last week, they'd be another week away because of ageing, right?

Not neccessarily, if they very close to popping last week e.g Strong +10 , then they will probably pop. I'm guessing that's what happened with my 2 fielding pops

The way I suspect it works is that players aren't +10, they are 95% towards the next value. A 20 year old might improve 5% and therefore pop that week, but a 21 year old might only improve 4%, so with the age increase wouldn't pop.

Those numbers aren't right, they are just used for illustrative purposes.

That's what I was trying to say

It's very subjective on sub-levels. If it takes a 17yo 11 weeks and an 18yo 12 weeks then you have 10 weeks of training at 9.09% per week and 1 week at 8.33% leaving the player 99.24% trained. I'd imagine he would pop!

One stamina pop for me:

3. Rod Curtis - 19 yo, BT Rating=16,545
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, sublime
A steady player with mediocre leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: feeble
Batting: superb Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: mediocre Consistency: woeful
Fielding: respectable

A nice couple for me today:

Titterton's fitness popped to only competant (but thats getting swiftly sorted!), Lamb popped to Proficient in batting (now Prof/Prof with Prof stamina at just 18 - lovely) and Hitchman popped to mediorce at bowling!
