The Omen (swanseashrimper)

versus

Psycho (canveyshrimper)

Religion verus nutter. 60s versus 70s. Colour versus black and white. Hitchcock, well, you know the score.

The Omen is one of my favourite films of all time .. Sorry Harry but you're going down mate !!!!!

Both in my fav: Top 5 horror films of all time. This really really really is a difficult one. When I first saw the Omen it terrified me. That blimmin black dog sent shivers down my spine and the scene when the lady jumped out of the window also really freaked me out............. But and it is a BIG BUT there is the black and white classic of Psycho. Hitchcock was the master of suspense and he is the only one that could have pulled off the low budget movie based on the murders of a Wisconsin grave robber. The Shower scene must still after all these years be rated as the most memorable horror moment of all time. Psycho it is.....;)

Blimey Naps, first the Wickerman now the Omen, cheers.:stunned:

The Omen was a good film of it's time, but IMO is no match for the genius of Hitchcock & Psycho.

It's been said before but the shower scene is one of the most memorable in movie history.

Vote Psycho.

I think the Omen has one of the most genuinely frightening moments of any film - when the contents of the grave are shown to be the skeleton of a jackal as the tombstone cracks. Still makes me soil myself. And Rumpole's in it too.
