Battle of the 80s movie

Napster

No ⭐
Since we're all in a movies mood, let's have a straight battle of 80s films. Lets have your choices - to begin when the singer cup finishes. ps No overblown serious films, this is a contest of films which epitomised the era. So no Empire Strikes Back, no nightmare on elm street. There's got to be 1) teenagers 2) cool soundtrack 3) cool clothes 4) eminently quotable. I will disqualify those that don't count!

Napster - Breakfast Club

The Karate Kid.

"You're a pushy litle b@stard aren't you? But I like that!........... I like that."

BB - Back to the Future

"If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits eighty-eight you're going to see some serious ****. "

I'm going to go for one of the favourite films of my childhood, starring the comedy genius that was John Candy...

Planes, Trains and Automobiles.

Only because Cool Runnings was 1993.

Hey chaps, I'll nominate Traci, I Love You: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traci,_I_Love_You

There's got to be: -
1) teenagers - Check
2) cool soundtrack - Er, probably. It 'sets the tone' shall we say..
3) cool clothes - there were no cool 80's clothes, so no clothes is even cooler, no?
4) eminently quotable - definitely. 'Can you help me take my panties off?', 'Damn you sure do have a nice ***'

If this isn't acceptable, I'll go for The Black Hole. Or Cheech and Chong - Up In smoke. Or The Goonies.

Kind Regards

Continuing the John Candy theme, but with Steve Martin - Planes, Trains & Automobiles.

"Where's your other hand?"

"Between the two pillows"

"Those aren't pillows"

I'm not sure - cool soundtrack? cool clothes? quotable? you're going to have to convince me of this one[/QUOT

"release the Kraken"

you try making a bedsheet look cool?

The main soundtrack is Clash of the Titans, it reminds me of him riding Pegasus......classic

Ant it was Ray Harryhausen's last motion pic..
