Battle of the 1990s British Albums

MK Shrimper

Striker
After the Blur/Oasis tussle, anyone fancy a new one as is stoked a lot of discussion.

So, any album by a British artist released between 1/1/90 to 31/12/99..... I'll start off with....

Urban Hymns - The Verve.

Urban Hymns - The Verve (MK)
I Should Coco - Supergrass (Uncle Leo)
What's the Story Morning Glory - Oasis (FatShrimp)

Dummy - Portishead (davewebbsbrain)

Jeez that's a toughie. Mansun had Attack of the Grey Lanturn or Six. SFA had Fuzzy Logic / Radiator / Guerilla. There's Blur, Pulp, Suede, Radiohead, My Bloody Valentine, Massive Attack, Underworld, Prodigy.

My heart says Blur - Modern Life... or SFA - Radiator.

My head says Portishead - Dummy.

Still thinking...

Pills n Thrills n Bellyaches - Happy Mondays (Mad Cyril)
Radiator - Super Furry Animals (Drastic)

Thanks to DWB for helping make my mind up! Surely someone has to nominate Screamadelica or Vanishing Point by Primal Scream!

I had to make a snap decision or I'd have taken forever. Parklife, Vauxhall And I, Dummy, Blue Lines, The Bends, Don't Try This At Home, Suede, Dog man Star, Generation Terrorists, Definitely Maybe, Different Class, the list goes on!

Certainly does. What a time for music despite all the anti-Britpop bollocks.

Quite nice to be doing this on such a grim day.

I can never remember chronology so well done to others. Screamadica can't be ignored and I was surprised to see Pills Thrills and Bellyaches as a nineties album. Loved the Mondays.

I'm going for OK Computer by Radiohead, though. Fantastic album at the time and they got better.

Very honourable mention for Mezzanine- Massive Attack, although someone will now tell me that was released in 1951.

Manic Street preachers "Gold against the soul". Or Generation Terrorists.
Ned's Atomic Dustbin - "Godfodder"
