Im sure I heard on Essex Radio a week or two ago, Paul Clarke saying there was some benefit game, possibly something to do with Micky Stead, being played at Basildon Utd tomorrow (29 Sept), with plenty of SUFC old boys in attendance. Can anyone confirm this?

Chris - If you are in contact with Paul Clarke can you ask him to be a bit more accurate and fair in his assessment of what is happening during our games as reported on Radio Essex.

Having listened to the match on Friday once again I drew the impression from him that our centre mid-field and Ryan Leonard in particular was having a poor game. In fact the only time he mentioned him was when he missed with a long-range shot. No mention at all of the wasteful shooting, self-admitted, by Hurst.

Having now seen the match on Blues Player and reading the Reports and Ratings how wrong was he!

Come on Paul, we know you have your favourites, ie Hurst and Freddie, but at least be a bit more fair in your assessment of what other players are doing! Your assessments certainly did not come close to what I saw of the match on Blues.
 
Glad I checked this as I was about to set off for game - even changed my plans for this. V annoying. Have to be a brunch instead
