As others have said a great read so thanks for posting. Also reminded me that Corr is one of the most like-able members of the squad. Really hope he can stay fit this season.

Barry corr

Is there any news on big bazzer will he start the season as our top striker .I know I read that he wants a pay as you play contract but havnt heard any news on that .Maybe Sturrock will wait into pre season to find out if he is going to be fit enough after a whole season with out a single run out . Apart for a few mins in the res when he broke down with his knee and never played again last season .

There's been a few threads on Barry, if you use the "Advanced Search" option top right, you'll see some of the threads with him featuring.

Good question ............. I suspect we will all be keeping our fingers crossed.

I would expect Corr to try to play 45 minutes of each of the first 2 or 3 friendlies ....... and depending on the reaction of his knees and back etcetera start to build up more time on pitch from there .........

...... but that does leave me wondering what I would do if I were the manager if/when Corr gets through the friendlies and is match fit for the start of the season - would I pull him off early during a game to reduce the liklihood of injury (and increase chances of being fit for the next game) ..........

.......... or depending on the other strikers available, would I use him as a super-sub to come on with 30 minutes to go?

Still a long while to go though .........
