The Custard Splat - Southend United Fan Podcast🦐
We need this guy back ASAP. The only one in our team apart from Mohsni, who isn't a striker so finds it hard, who can win a header, hold the ball up and bring others into play. He works hard for the team and is also a Sturrock type striker so fits well into the system. If he was in the team now, we would be doing a lot better as he would win these hopeless punts up field, or would at least make the effort to. The sooner he's back, the better for everyone.

For me out strongest line up would be:

Morris
Clohessy - Phillips - Mohsni - Barker
Hall - Grant/Sawyer - Timlin - Martin
Corr - Dickinson

For me Dickinson is actually more of an actual striker than a target man. He has good feet for a big guy so with Corr holding the ball up for him I think it would bring the best out in Dickinson. Thoughts on this please as I think we, the supporters, and the manager still don't know the best line up yet !!

UTB !!

Yea, how we've missed Corr. Who knows what would have happened had he been fit and partnered Dicko for most of the season :'(

Farmdog!

Would love to see big barry corr back! Last season he was heading goals in for fun, dicko i just think hasnt quite got it.

We do NEED him back, but anyone heard news of how he's getting on/an approx return date?

I spoke to granty in oct in southend, and he said he doesnt reckon he'll ever be back...

rich x

Would love him back! I really hope he will get fit!

The joke is that people slagged him off last year even though how prolific he was! Strikers cannot win here!

Sorry but what a pointless thread ... Corr just had another knee op and won't play again this season, surely we need to concentrate on getting the best out of the players that are available for selection rather than lamenting the absence of those that aren't

Agree, would be nice if he could beat his injuries for a return at some point!

Looking forward to seeing Anto Flood!

Time to launch the Blair Pitch Project. May the force be with him.

Not really a pointless thread, how was I meant to know he had another operation?

Dear oh dear......some of us live in darkest 'ampshire and consequently do not have ready access to "local" news pertinent to Blues fans......so don't chew people out for asking a simple straight-forward question.

So, my question........how long is Leonard out for?
We miss his long throw-ins (supplying Mr Dickinson and Moshni).....I agree with recent threads re team selection...Morris....Clohessy, Barker, Phillips, Prosser......Hall, Timlin, Grant, Leonard.....Dickinson, Benyon.......subs...Moshni, Harris, Martin, Baldwin and let's have a look at Anto Flood!!

As I recall, there was a tweet in response to a direct question to PS about Leonard that suggested he would be out for the rest of the season. I also think he's the one that has been missed most of all.

As to BBBC, it's been mentioned more than once on here that he's had a number of ops, I believe between the first and second that his knee went septic. There's definitely been more than a few of us (myself included) that have maintained all along that we're unlikely to see him again in a Blues shirt - imho, and very distressingly for him, he'll be lucky to play professionally again.
