Barretts reaction to Saturdays result

A valid point there from Bazza in the way that if want to be up there at the end of the season we have to beat teams like Crewe at home.

Lets hope we can see em off

The situation reminds me a bit of Swansea coming to Roots Hall at a similar stage of the season two years ago. The matches themselves were very different - we lost on saturday due to some good set-pieces and lost that day because of a brilliant performance from Lee Trundle but on both days we would have been top had we won but instead had to watch as the opposition went top instead. Two years ago we bounced back and ultimately got promoted at Swansea at the end of the season. This year I think we go to Tranmere in the final few weeks and hopefully we can put things right there just as we did at the Liberty.

In the form table we are 2nd against clubs in bottom half and 23rd against clubs in top half.
Suggests we will beat Crewe on Saturday but just a mid-table side at the moment.

I feel a little better after readiing Adams piece and other posts on this forum regarding saturday performance,we are only 3 points off top spot but i felt quite down on saturday night and it was still on my mind as i was trying to get to sleep,It wouldn't of been bad if we had finished all guns blazing but we just seemed to fizzle out.Maybe all those away games caught up with them.

Thing is, this early in the season the difference between being a top half or a bottom half club could well be 3 points, ie the game against us. Not in all cases, but in some it could more be a case of they're top half because they beat us, than they beat us because they're top half.
