Barretts Banter

Not really - we might get un the playoffs if we go on another good run but I don't think we have the quality at the back or upfront.

There is only one obvious answer to that is of course we can IF we string the results together to get a surge to put us in contention.

The question is (and the reason for the capital letters in 'if'), is there any reason to think that we might get that surge over and above any other team in a mid-table position?

That surely has to rest on transfers. Shrewd signings clearly give us the impetus we need. A lack thereof and I think that the fundamental problems of shipping too many easy goals combined with being short of prolific strikers means that we are more likely to have an uneasy eye on the wrong end of the table rather than a hopeful eye on the top.

I think any more optimistic viewing of the situation is to ignore results over the last couple of months - and against the higher teams.

Wouldnt look very good if he made comments leading to more negativity really would it. Theres enough of that around at the mo without someone like Barrett joining in.

Anything is possible.....while its still possible...

Three weeks ago we were four points clear of 7th. Whilst we look far from side with any serious promotion aspirations right now, promotion is still a possibility.

4 points adrift with 22 more games to go, of course its viable.

Automatic promotion hopes are gone but theres nothing to say we couldnt finish 5th or 6th.

Personally think we have a lot to do and wouldnt put money on us going up but thats not to say its not achievable.
