Bad Omens..

i feel that us appearing on tv is not going down well.. years since we won a game live on tv

19 November 2003... it's not that  long ago, is it?  18 months on Thursday since we last won live on telly.

That'll be Canvey Island 2 - 3 Southend for those who were wondering...  And it was an evening kick off, and it was in Essex - so there are no patterns or omens to be read into anything.

It's simply up to the players.  If the question is: are we capable of producing a performance which is good enough to beat the Cobblers, the answer is unquestionably: yes.  We can  beat them.  Whether we will or not is an entirely different matter... I just bloody hope we do.

Ah, I remember it well. God scored as well, just to make it even sweeter.

Yes but look at who we have had. Blackpool (League One side) Luton Town in the Cup (who won League One), Wrexham (League One side) and Northampton Town, who are no push-overs as they have proved on Sunday.

We beat Canvey Island on TV but they are some pokey has-been club who just avoided relegation ...

Ah, that explains Mike's dislike of Bramble. Just like Scott Forbes, Tes Bramble scored against his beloved Canvey, and Westcliff/Javea/Xabia has never forgiven him.

[Shouldn't we have a 'gone fishing' icon/smiley somewhere?]

Yeah, just the sort of team we'd lose against!

Well if I had to pick one I would say the 3rd film was the weakest. The part in the first one where the 'dad' is cutting the lads hair looking for the 666 mark still makes me shiver. Also the smile given to the camera at the close of the film is a classic moment.

Be good on Saturday if Scott McGleish was running toward goal with a one-on-one with Darryl and just as he is about to chip the ball over the oncoming Darryl's head a pane of glass from the flats falls out and slices through the on-rushing ex-Col U strikers head. And as it lies on the floor it is still moaning and whingeing.
