There has been a twitter page been setup called 'Southend youth Casuals' and who follow southend and tweet how there going to bring back 'The old football days' and the worst part is my younger cousin knows them and he said there no older than 16. Also to make it worse they were the ones who set off the flare. Me and my cousin and i imagine fellow shrimpers, are very frustrated at these mindless teenagers who are letting are club down (Costing the club money on fines over flares and making a 'Hooligan' twitter account, etc..) I wouldn't advise it, but if anyone does want to look at the tweets the accounts username is @Southendyouth

Despite your warning, I decided to brave it & check out the tweets. All 8 of them. Any chance you might have dramatised your opening post a bit? It doesn't say they let off a smoke bomb at all?

Ah. It was cheaper when I first went! 11p train, 4p admission, 2.5p transfer to West Stand, the tiny square programme was 1.5 p. No pint, I was only 10. Chipmunk crisps though and changing ends at half time, the smell of pipe smoke.

There is far worse things happening in the world and indeed worse things on Twitter (trolling springs to mind), maybe this sensationalised thread gives these foolish youngsters the attention they crave.
