Back 4 for Walsall?

SUFCFANS

Coach
So who do you think should be in the make-shift back 4 on Tuesday?

Sankofa - Franno - Baldwin - Herd

or

Franno - M'Voto - Baldwin - Herd

other possibilities include Grant, JFC, Malone.

Sankofa has been pushing hard in the reserves and deserves a shot, I just hope he don't sod it up

A choice of the devil or the deep blue sea.

I would put Sankofa ahead of M Voto but that really is desperate times. Both are clamatous and I really worry about seeing either of them.

Can't really understand the hatred of Sankofa on this board at times. No, he's not the most gifted of our current squad but he's more than capable back-up and he has proved this whenever called upon... More than I can say for other members of the squad who are reverred on here at times.

His delivery of the ball is arguably amongst the best within the squad as well and adds another dimension to our attack.

I dont think I have ever disgareed with your assetements before and yet its twice in a few days now

he adds another dimension to our attack as he goes backwards with the ball, he cant seem to get it under control and he panics everytime ayone gets near him. I cant disagree with his crossing as overall he is not bad at that but the fact he had probably played less than 20 games in two years means someone at the club does not rate him.

I think it shows how bad the squad has got over the years, with Lewis Hunt normally being the back-up centre back i always felt confident that he could come in, now sankofa or m'voto it doesnt matter they will both look shakey, hope they proove me wrong though

I don't recall him doing much wrong on Saturday- although happy to be corrected

Same as what ended v Carlisle.

If things gets worse then move Sankofa to RB and Francis to CB.

I can't see how we could use M'Voto for such a crucial game after the way he's been playing. Sankofa is a solid defender. He can cross a good ball but doesn't use the ball very well in general. I think that Franno would be wasted at centre back when we need to score goals. I agree with East Stand Blue's lineup.

I can't remember seeing Sankofa play as bad as DtS says. Whenever I've seen him play he's acquitted himself well.

I'm sure I'm looking back with my Rose Tinteds on as usual, but I can't remember him ever committing a clanger. The only negative incident I can recall was when he gave a penalty away unnecessarily at Brentford.

In any event, we'd better start getting used to players like Osei. Cast-offs frmo other clubs and home-grown youngsters are going to form the backbone to this team for a few years to come; not necessarily a bad thing in my opinion.
