Avearge age of squad - excellent future?

baldyian

Youth Team
I was just looking at the Echo on the web and according to the information on the squad that is listed the average age of our squad is only just over 23!!

I was amazed but realised that it will be good for the future if we can hold on to the majority of these players and build around them.

I feel we must be sensible and not expect an instant return to Championship football, but with the squad we have assembled and perhaps an old head to come in we have the nucleus of a very good football club for years to come.

Promotion in 2-3 years and consolidate in the Championship would, I feel, be a very reachable target.

Thoughts?

I agree. It'd be great to bounce straight back but we'll still be at RH and have limited funds - and therefore the same problems as last season in regards to signing championship standard players and are very likely to go straight back down again a la last season.

According to the Leeds programme Charles Ademeno's date of birth is 12/12/98 - this may be contributing to low average age of our squad:D
