Well if the team are prepared anything like the fans then this will be a good game v chelsea tonight!!

A boozer close to where I work is being frequented with currently between 150-200 fans as of 1.30pm. The smallest most unpopular pub. How it has come about and how they have got the message about is a good effort!!

This is in central london. Little back street. Weird but extremely amusing coming out of your office to Madrid songs. Flags, police hats, bottles of vodka to fill their coke with they are buying from the pub. spilling over onto the streets.

Good times.

If this was the other way round then the English fans in Spanish bar would have been attacked by the locals, then batton charged & tear gassed by the Police, any fans not arrested would then be escorted to the Stadium.

valid point. when i saw the police hat i wondered. but it is just their fans. They are all young/middle aged males. no females. lots of noise. lots of booze. bit of abuse to people in suits.

No riot police. no chance. maybe that is why they have picked a side street. they are still drinking strong and becoming quite a scene.

It's not near St Paul's is it? There is an article in one of today's Spanish papers about an Atlético supporters club in Ryan's Bar in Carter Lane. According to the article, West Ham are their English team of choice.

Quite! I went to see them a few weeks ago and took a bit of a shine to them but I'm not so sure now....

Any lefties looking for a Spanish team should plump for Rayo Vallecano. Flags of Che Guevara and the Second Spanish Republic aplenty in evidence at their ground.
