Asamoah

scrounger

Duncan Goodhew
I'm not a 100% sure he will play, but if he does, I expect another showing like he did against us Mansfield, especially as he will have an excellent supporting striker with Yeo. Any thoughts?

It all depends if Lincoln play to his strenghts in hitting balls down the channel for him to chase.

I do understand this topic has already been posted but genuinely concerned they are going to be more than a handful. Spinner really needs to pull a top-notch performance, (better than he has done recently) and the whole team in general needs to perform. If we play like we have in the last two games, we are not going to win, may even lose, throwing all our hardwork and other team's slipping, right out of the window.

My choice would be to play the following team and tactics tomorrow...

Flahaven

Jupp Barrett Prior Wilson

Nicolau

Pettefer Maher Bentley

Eastwood Gray

Dropping Gower and playing Nicolau in a defensive midfield position could be the key to shutting Asamoah out. Nicolau could then keep up with the pace of Asamoah, whilst the presence of Barrett and Prior would shield him off.

Utter nonsense. I take it you're drunk too...

We might as well, we have no width so why not just play through the middle with an extra man supporting the back four and midfield? It makes sense when you're up against two of the most in-form strikers in the league

After going 11 games unbeaten I would also wish to change the formation completely and employ Nicolau in a totally alien defensive midfield position. Furthermore I agree that dropping our most creative midfielder is the best way to get a result tomorrow.

All this nonsense talk about Asamoah being a big threat- this guy is a headless chicken one trick pony and a worse finisher than Mark Rawle.

I hope I'm right

I think playing Nicky in a central defensive midfield position would be suicide for the one reason that he is not a central player and to the best of my knowledge never has been. We would be better of playing Hunt there or Petts in a middle three with Nicky and Gower on the wing, however my preference would definately be just to keep the winning/non losing team.

I'm in agreeance with Yorkshire Bambi, changing formation is not the answer. We are going to need Nicky on the wing in our forthcoming matches when Maher/Bentley or both get bookings and hence suspensions. All I was saying is that our midfield and defenders are going to have their work cut out. Yes Asamoah is not the best finisher, but his pace alone can cause us problems. We saw that at home to Mansfield, just worried that Lincoln are a better side!
