Asamoah to Lincoln

From the the BBC:

Asamoah on verge of Lincoln move

Lincoln City manager Keith Alexander is on the verge of signing Mansfield striker Derek Asamoah.

The Imps' boss Keith Alexander has confirmed to BBC Radio Lincolnshire that he is on the verge of signing the 23-year-old for a small fee.

Alexander made the approach after Mansfield caretaker boss said he would never pick Asamoah again after breaching club regulations.

Asamoah's agent Stan Collymore said: "We want Derek to go to Lincoln."

Surely Asamoah wouldnt fit in at Lincoln City as he is too small.
I can not wait until Saturday when that pr*t Alexander can stick his comment from earlier this season
"Southend with all due respect to them aren't going to be there or thereabouts"
right up his own a***.

Hate to say it Scriv, but the BBC has got it wrong...again.

Asamoah's agent is CHARLES Collymore, not Stan.

Bad timing about Asamoah. He's a real pain in the arse and always seems to perform well against us. He caused us all sorts of problems with his pace for Mansfield at the Hall over Christmas and set up their goal.

I don't know what Lincoln's style of play is these days but I hope they reprise their John Beck days on Saturday and lump it long - Asamoah will need a stepladder to beat Prior and Barrett in the air.
