Manager
Such is Arsene Wenger's long association with Arsenal, it is difficult to envisage him ever managing another club in England. But the Frenchman has been provided with another job offer (well, sort of) after one fan asked Wenger if he would consider joining Southend United.
Wenger is now the longest serving manager in the country, following the summer retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson, and recently celebrated 17 years since he succeeded Bruce Rioch at Arsenal.
During his illustrious spell with the Gunners, Wenger has won three Premier League titles, four FA Cups and managed an appearance in the Champions League final, but one optimistic supporter hoped he would throw this all away for a move to Roots Hall.
The tongue-in-cheek proposition came during a Q&A with Wenger on the official Arsenal Twitter feed, where user @handsomead78 asked: "will u ever consider managing #southend utd?"
Wenger, though, admitted that leaving Arsenal for Southend had never crossed his mind, even though he quite liked the name of the Essex club.
He responded: "Honestly, I like the name but I have never considered it as I haven't had to look for a job!"
Southend have been something of a Football League yo-yo club over the years, with the Blues currently residing in League Two under the stewardship of Phil Brown.
They are in ninth position at present after 15 matches, only one point away from the playoff places.

Your title is totally misleading.
He doesn't say he's 'not interested' , just that he hasn't considered it.
Reading between the lines , I'd say he is gagging for the chance.

IMO your logic is perfectly sound. The thing is, could he do any better than PB?

Arsene Wenger said he hadn't considered it, but Arsene Wegner is the one not interested according to the title ...

Arsene has admitted he cannot possibly turn down the opportunity of working with such great players such as barry corr and Anthony straker, who he has been monitoring for his current club arsenal

Fair play to him for coming out and clarifying this. It will put a lot of unnecessary rumours to bed.

I would just like to point out that Arsene Wenger was referring to my Twitter name, rather than our club’s name, when he said “I like the name”.
