Riera has been released by Sunderland after a season on loan at Falkirk.

Riera was Lionel Messi's captain at Barcelona B before moving to Sunderland in 2006.

Riera came on as substitute in our 3-0 defeat at Col U and started in the 0-0 draw at Norwich over Christmas.

And he made that much of an impact that I couldn't even remember him playing LOL!
 
I thought he was released by Sunderland ages ago :unsure: lol

I was quite excited when we signed him, hoped to see some of the Spanish flair but was a bit pony
 
I missed both those games. The only time I saw him play was when he came on for Sunderland when we beat them 3-1.

He will probably line up for Falkirk in tomorrow's scottish FA cup final against Rangers.
