reminds me of the fun we used to have with air pistols, what started as harmless fun aiming at clothes on neighbours washing lines ended up with others shooting my mates grandad in the foot, another mate threatening someone who tried to stop us pinching a "spice girls" poster from a bus shelter, and a paperboy getting shot in the eye.

Imagine the joviality with real bullets !!

Indeed sir. You'll have to pop over when I'm back in the US for some minority hunting.

Once people start getting them it will open the floodgates. Make penalties more severe and also bring in minimum 5 year jail sentence for people carrying knives and allow old bill to stop and search anyone they want to.

I think it should be possible for law abiding citizens to protect their home with the ultimate deterrent. I know I feel a lot safer sleeping in my bed in Oregon with Mr Smith and Mr Wesson close at hand.

Bur also a lot easier to have a row with someone and when the red mist comes, shoot them. Cant agree on this one Rusty, but obviously in the states its a must.

That's a fair point mate, but I've only just got married so it's all sweetness and light. In a year or so, I bet I'll at least have to wing her to keep things honest.

There's still enough mindless young idiots that think it's fun to shoot at pet cats and such with various "guns", surely allowing more accessibility would be asking for trouble.

lets wait for the copycat killings. I can just imagine somebody walking into a school and shooting the place up because they once had to sit in the corner.
As for having a gun to protect your property, don't make me laugh. All companys have to insure thay can protect, employers, customers and tresspassers, so if you own a shop and you catch somebody breaking in, you cant harm them by law. As for your own house, look what happened to that farmer who shot those burglars. The law is not with you.

if we could arm ourselfs perhaps RM would let us have a machine gun nest in the North bank to help with our stewarding the away fans
