Arise Sir Ron Martin

Flaiming Moe

First XI
What a great Chairman we have !

He promised us a Stadium and he has delivered.

Thank you Ron, I speak for so many when I say Thank You for everything you are doing and have done for my beloved SUFC.

I've met Ron a few times now and he is a gent and he is Mr Southend United.

The future's bright, the future's Blue ! !

erm I'm just reading my letter. it seems to be saying (where's a town planner when you need one) that she 's agreeing with everything the inspector says but she cannot give a final decision until the 27th of May to give parties "time to provide a satisfactory planning obligation referred in the preceding paragraph." I read this as a technicality so a bit of work to be done but basically it seems to be very complementary. The planning obligation whatever that is seems to relate to the affordable housing and concerns about the enforcibility of the covenant restricting the occupation of Open Market Units. I have absolutely no idea what this means but TBH seems technical.
Sherif where are you for confirmation.

J let's get carried away shall we. Actually i got my pack with the decsion this morning so i need to read it but hey let's go mental.

F*cking right we should get carried away. This has to be the greatest day ever in the history of this football club and it is Ron who has "brought home the bacon" - all praise and more is due to Sir Ronald Martin. :D

This might be something to do with the Roots Hall developement seem to recall the objections concerning the problem with the access roads for the proposed Sainsbury and flats being built!

Spot on mate!

Ron Martin you are a legend! :D

This is a great thread. For all those that doubted Ron Martin, you have been proved wrong. He said he would get us a new ground and now we have permission for one, its all go!

Its so easy to doubt him what with all the press on him recently being involved with the police, however, he pleaded his innocence and kept us informed along the way. I think Ron is an honest man and whilst he prob isnt completely squeaky clean, he has taken this club the furthest it has ever been with regards to a new home and for that at least we should stand up and salute him!

Hear hear Samuel...

Irate Ian will have something to say about this...Probably in a covert way, Ron Martin is actually taking something from us or stitching us up somehow!!!

RON - please come on the pitch before the game (instead of that Eurovision entry) so every Southend fan can applaud you!

Let’s be honest Ron Martin has done the mission impossible here...

Some how got Southend Council to agree unanimous to the new ground after donkeys’ of years of not really liking Southend United FC showing no us support even a slight dislike here

And then selling it to the Non Football Government who’s has never backs/approvals small clubs like our plans ….

Ron was a motivator and knew his no1 asset was us the Supporters and got us ALL to help the cause and got us going
From Marches showing public Support, letters, emails and the list goes on…..

UNITED WE STAND

Well done Everyones here

Happy Days

What a truly remarkable day this is in Southend Uniteds' history, Ron Martin you are a legend!

Surely ron will have a little speech prepared for the faithful on saturday just before the luton game whip us into a frenzy to smash luton and get back in the play offs
