Are we Alone?

So they tell us on this new Stargazer programme...we are but one planet amongst 17 billion within our Galaxy alone. There are apparently just the few odd Galaxies out there, totalling about 350 million.

I cant even fathom the maths on that lot...but surely there cannot be more than one MK Shrimper about, that thought is very worrying. :-/

So what do you think Zoners?

Tsk! how hurtful Kay

You know we all love you really!

By the simple law of averages I'd say it's a stone cold certainty there's life on other planets withing our own Milky Way and if you factor in the billions of other galaxies out there that certainty becomes even more obvious.

You should be so lucky :raspberry:

I'm convinced we're not alone, their is bound to be sentient life out there, no doubt arguing over which rock to pray to. However nothing can travel faster that light despite what sci-fi tells you, so we'll never ever meet them. It's a cold, lonely universe....

How do I know that this isn't just one long dream that I'm having and I'll wake up one day and be living another life?

I don't know if we are alone.

What I do know is that people who are in to UFOs, alien conspiracies etc. tend to more alone.

And that Brian Cox is a massive ponce.

I'm sure there is life elsewhere, but personally I doubt that it is life we would be able to communicate with. Civilisations could be long gone, or there could be life in a much earlier (or later) stage of development that we can't communicate with.

The Colchester fan is alone when he goes to watch them play but when he gets home he isn't as his sister is waiting for him to seductively whisper 'lets pretend we are cousins'
