Anyone travelling to Tranmere by car....

Sherif H

Omar's older brother
For any of you driving to Tranmere (this includes myself!) tomorrow, please note that there is virtually nowhere around the ground to park without the risk of getting a ticket. There are no public car parks near the ground either from what I recall, and the only option would seem to be paying the £4 to park in the stadium car park. I have to say, I am unsure as to whether this is for home fans only though!

I parked in there last time, absolutely no problem. I seem to remember Tranmere actually being one of the easiest places to park the car in the respect. I could actually see my car from where I was sat.

There's a ironmongers (I think owned by Phil Thompson) near one of the away pubs, if you go down there past the chippy & pizza place there's loads of on-street parking! It's a bit of a maze though so take care in remembering how to get back to the cars!

Is it safe to park around there matey? Only I lived in Liverpool for 4 years and know just how dodgy it is. I understand the Wirral peninsula houses an altogether more respectable demographic? :D

..and a quick pic of how your car will look at 5pm :D

It looked OK last time around, safer than the streets around The City Ground.
It's not the best part of the Wirral but not skanky like near Anfield or Goodison

Theres no such worries for us, as we're going in an old banger (aren't we, ashingdon-shrimper ;)).

Although, it is arp narth, they may find it to be above average.

I drove up last season, and parked up in a side street. Some kids said they would look after the car for a tenner.

I said "Thanks, but I've got a rottwieler in the back"

They said "Can it put fires out?"

:O thats where I was. We were also told if we run the woman over and drive back to the men they'll let us in for free :D:D
