anyone else going out the cricket world cup

we miss lincoln away, which is a real bugger, but you have to weigh up the fact that we are going to a real country where their passion for cricket, makes us look like fools over here. Looking forward to england v west indies, could well be the decider for 4th spot, as I think the bangles could turn us over out there . if anyone else is going over to one of our former colonies, let me know and we can meet up for a gin and tonic and chat about the shrimpers

Yeah cricket or southend united . Thats about a tough a choice as a pint of beer or a pint of ****.

Cricket has to be one of the most dullest sports on the planet along with Golf. Playing them is dull . Watching them !

What games are you going to?

I've got a few mates who are out there for it and whilst I fancied the idea of being in Eden Gardens for England v India (and good job now I didn't book flights for Kolkata) it seems like a lot of hassle with internal flights or long distance train journeys to sort out for not that much cricket. It certainly doesn't help with the BCCI ****ing about as usual and moving venues.

It would be an amazing experience though. A mate of mine moved over to India with work a couple of years back and we've spoken before about going over to watch some cricket with him.

How long will you be over there for?

About 2 weeks ago, i'd have agreed with you about golf, but recently I got my grubby little mits on a full set for free (full set of clubs, bag, trolley, balls, tee's. gloves, scorecard) and have decided to give it a go. I'm quite **** tbh, but it's something I can see myself getting into quite easily.

Well you come from the same ethnic background as Tiger Woods so I am not surprised.

i've got into golf recently. couldnt stand it befor but now loving it and going pretty much every weekend. get yourself over a 9 hole par 3 at maldon called bunsey downs. really good course.

cricket though i've always liked, playing more than watching. got really into the ashes so quite looking forward to england getting involved in the world cup.

I've been playing over St. Clere's in Stanford-le-hope. That's got a 3 par, 9-hole. So far the best I've gone round in, is 43. I'm not gunna lie, i'm pony lol, but I can only get better.

Definitly something I can get into properly.
