She looks apon you as a son who knowbody talks about due to the terrible allegations from the summer of 97 involving younger members of the family.

After that day in court, even the judge said that it would be difficult for a 9 and 10 year old to make up such a story but for some reason the jury seemed to trust in you, even with hard evidence against you.

Doherty was arrested by drug squad officers last night:

Singer Pete Doherty has been arrested after a police drugs operation in the town where his band had been playing.
Babyshambles had played at Shrewsbury&#39;s Music Hall on Saturday night before it was raided by drug squad officers with sniffer dogs.

Police said a man and a woman were later arrested for possession of class A drugs and 17 others searched during an operation in the town overnight.

The woman was questioned by police but has since been released without charge.

Coaches checked

Two coaches were also searched in the town and suspected drugs seized.

The man, who is understood to be Doherty, was taken to a police station in Telford and is expected to be interviewed later on Sunday afternoon.

Gig cancelled after arrest

A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: &quot;In the early hours of this morning officers stopped a mini bus in Shrewsbury town centre and detained a number of people for the purposes of a drugs search.

&quot;Officers also attended one premises in Shrewsbury and detained a number of other individuals.&quot;

He said they had acted on intelligence that people were suspected of using class A drugs in the town.

The coaches and the suspected class A drugs have been sent for examination by forensic science experts.

A spokesman for Doherty, who has received media attention as the boyfriend of troubled supermodel Kate Moss, said he believed the singer had been held.

&quot;He might have been held overnight, although I&#39;m trying to find out from someone in his entourage what&#39;s going on,&quot; he said.
