Any UK Independence Party Voters?

Devil's Advocate

Nice to see someone taking stage at the European parliament, standing up for what the party believes in

Cuckoo!  Cuckoo!  Cuckoo!

I particularly like the "don't clean behind the fridge enough" comment, something I heartily concur with.

When forced into making a confession, he admitted he was "brow-beaten!" into making the statement by his wife, who owns power-tools apparently!

Great....!!!! Just what the anti european cause needs, a relic stuck in the 50's. Still I expect Blair will be pleased as he will now proceed to tar all who oppose EU integration as flat earthers.

Ever since we gave women the vote they've been nothing but trouble. I'm right behind him.

Is that so? Look at Blair, a male, and fecked up pretty much everything. Thatcher, a female, and was the best leader the UK has had in years.

(But who in power really wants that from a populace)

It was his mum's fault though. She never raised him properly - too busy out at work when she should have been bringing him up.

I wasnt old enough to remember the Falklands, dont even think i was born when it started. But it was right to defend a "British" country from the scummy Argies, wasnt it?

Did you know that the Falklands was my favourite war, some people so it was a conflict but it was a war.

YEah we kept all those penquins , albotros and sea lions English !

(and before anyone has a pop , i know an ex navy officer who was on the ship that tracked the exorcet that hit the sheffield and an ex SBS member who served there !).

At wasnt the methods we used or our armed personel I really object too , rather the goverments of the times attitude and their use of teh confilict and those used in it. (A nice example was a course of action which nearly lead teh entire SAS to consider mutiny against the goverement ! Something to do with crashing the entire reguiment into an Argentine airfeild basicly on a suicide mission !!)

So you are trying to say that we should not have had the Falklands Crisis and just let a military dictator take over the Falklands against the will of the islanders??

We have a military dictator on an Island very close to us which we do nothing about.

Hmm with more then 20 years hindsight and having never been fully briefed on the real international and political intracaces of our relationship with South America and its impact on the global stage.

Yes.

At the time i was 6 so i propably didnt give it much thought.

And just for curiosty what were the Argies going to do with it anyway ? Last i heard we're basicly closing it down and moving the majority of personel to over research stations ?

So the farmers there are really just scientists. Good cover.

So if Falklands had gone back then the locals would have been subjected to one of the worst crashes of an economy since the WWII. Nice of you to subject them to that considering you are speaking with hindsight. Also the dictatorship seemed to lose it's hold on Argentina after its defeat over the Falklands. So again another positive to take from it.

Regan from the Sweeney. Blimey, I never knew.

Thatcher did more good for the country than liberals give her credit for. She led the economy into a more market-based model, she encouraged SMEs and enterpreneuralism, and she was not afraid to stand up for what is British.
