Our referee tomorrow is Mr Fred Graham from Essex ... a Southend supporter we hope?
Mr Graham is now in his fifth season as a referee and has shown yellow twenty-five times in sixteen games, and red just once this season ... Southend have yet to enjoy his company this term.
His assistants are Mr Stephen Child from Kent and Mr Oleksandr Saliy from London. fourth official is Mr Keith Yeo from Essex.

I saw the title of the thread and thought it might mean "Rep" was turned back on again.

this thread could not be more right. the ref today gave us everything. god knows how many corners, throw ins, fouls we got given to us that never were. please let us have him every week. although we didn't make this most of it at all but was nice to get a ref for once that went our way.

Yes he was, wasnt he.....had to laugh....made up for the ref we had against Oldham. The lino to our left was shocking tho. Best thing would be to have him put down....;)

But I agree, we didnt take advantage of finally getting a ref who gave things to us....

And why didnt Hammell shoot from that free kick right in the middle just outside the pen box.....:thump: I thought that free kick was generous aswell but we also thought so cos we faffed about with it and then it went stright back down our end and they nearly scored!

firstly that free-kick you mentioned was won by maher who wasn't touched at all so it was very generous but in such a goos position and we should have scored. then we tried that set piece that went horribly wrong and then soon after came their goal. hammell should have shot.

The ref was hilariously cr*p. I dont think I have ever seen a ref mess up so much and for the majority to go our way! Barrett was practically playing netball yest and he didnt notice once. Makes up for all the other 99% of times that we dont get alot our way!

True, but it has an SS postcode and is more likely to attract people to Southand than gillingham (god knows who'd be attracted to Gillingham!)
